SUPERIOR, Wisc. (06/29/24) Shane Sabraski dominated, Dexton Koch and Joey Jensen held on, and Cade Nelson made a little history during night 1 of the eighth annual Great Lake Border Battle, presented by FYE Motorsports, on Saturday night at Gondik Law Speedway.

2024 Great Lakes Border Battle Weather Update & Date Change

SUPERIOR, Wisc. (06/27/24) - Attention fans and racers planning on attending the 8th annual ServPro Great Lakes Border Battle powered by KME and fueled by Superior Fuel Co. at the Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, WI this weeken

The event has been shifted from its original Friday/Saturday schedule to a Saturday/Sunday schedule due to the forecasted rain on Friday.

Saturday’s program will now consist of what Friday was scheduled to be, featuring 2 sets of heats for each WISSOTA Modified driver, plus a full show for the WISSOTA Late Models as the opener for the KME Late Model Series, plus Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and USRA Late Models. Sabraski Sweeps Great Lakes Border Battle for $12k Payday

(07/2/23) - Shane Sabraski started off his Independence Day weekend by sweeping both nights of the WISSOTA Super Stocks and leading all 50 laps en route to the $10,000 payday in the WISSOTA Modified division at the 7th annual SERVPro Great Lakes Border Battle fueled by Superior Fuel Co. at the Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin.

SUPERIOR, Wisc. (07/02/22) - After a long two days of competition at the Gondik Law Speedway, the Sixth Annual Border Battle came to a close on Saturday night July 2nd finishing up with the $10,000 to win WISSOTA Modified 50 lap feature.

The previous night the Modifieds spent their time racing double heat races with the order for the feature determined by passing points accrued during these qualifying races for the top sixteen drivers. Before the complete starting grid could be completed, a pair of Semi-Features were run, each qualifying four more drivers to the main event. Sixth Annual Border Battle Off To Strong Start

SUPERIOR, Wisc. (07/3/21) - The two day fifth annual Border Battle finished it's run on Saturday July 3rd at Gondik Law Speedway on a day that was hotter than hades with temperatures hovering around the 90 degree mark. The only saving grace was a light breeze and humidity in the 30% range.

Bellefeuille Blitzes Border Battle Modified Main

SUPERIOR, Wisc. (07/02/21) - The 2021 Border Battle was the fifth edition, this year featuring the WISSOTA Modifieds as the top class of the five scheduled. Other divisions include WISSOTA Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Hornets.

Opening night was the first of two sweltering early July nights. A strong crowd was on hand to watch the five divisions which brought a total of 119 cars led by 35 Midwest Modifieds. Fourth Annual Lake Superior Border Battle Wraps Up

SUPERIOR, Wisc. (07/03/20) - The annual Border Battle presented by FYE Motorsports at the Gondik Law Speedway wrapped up Saturday July fourth with competition in six WISSOTA divisions.

Besides the purse money, there was some bonus money at stake, the most prominent being an extra $1,000 if any competitor could win their respective feature events all three days. Only Shane Sabraski in the WISSOTA Super Stocks and Cory Jorgensen in the WISSOTA Pure Stocks had a chance at that bonus money going into the final night of competition. SUPERIOR, Wisc. (07/01/2020) - A sweltering hot day with temperatures nearly in the 90’s. The fourth annual Lake Superior Border Battle commenced with the first of three full shows culminating on the Fourth of July.
