Searing claims first John Seitz Memorial; Thomas ends Peterson Seitz streak at four

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 7, 2024) – The 18th annual John Seitz Memorial concluded on Saturday night at River Cities Speedway with five WISSOTA Dirt Track Racing feature winners - Cole Searing, Joe Thomas, Trevor Nelson, Matt Schow and Cole Greseth.

Cole Searing of Huron, South Dakota won the night’s 92-lap, $9,200-to-win Seitz Memorial Late Model finale. The race was paced early by Go Hard or Go Home pole dash winner Chad Becker for the first 13 laps. GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 6, 2024) – The 18th annual John Seitz Memorial continued on Friday night with 196 cars among five divisions, including 62 Late Models, checked in for action.

Qualifying prelims for the Late Model portion of the John Seitz Memorial began with seven 15-lap heat races, which were won by Michael Greseth, AJ Diemel, Cole Searing, Nick Panitzke, Dustin Strand, Aaron Turnbull and Scott Ward. >>READ MORE

Strand steals the show to kick off the 18th John Seitz Memorial

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 5, 2024) – Dustin Strand’s incredible year got even better on Thursday night at River Cities Speedway for the Prelude to the Johnny, featuring the fourth annual Howie Schill Memorial and the NLRA Late Model season championship.

Aaron Turnbull Becomes First Back-to-Back Seitz Memorial Champion in Photo Finish

RIVER CITIES, N.D. (09/12/20) The 14th annual John Seitz Memorial will be one that is talked about for years to come. Fifty WISSOTA Late Models made the trek to the three-tenths mile bullring of River Cities Speedway in hopes of claiming the $9,200 check on Saturday night, but it came down to two previous Seitz Memorial champions in a classic dash to the checkers. Turnbull Earns Pole for 14th John Seitz Memorial 92-lapper with Pole Dash Win

Diemel Takes Top Honors in 10th Annual Seitz Memorial

GRAND FORKS, ND (September 10, 2016) - For the previous nine John Seitz Memorial Late Model specials, the winner has taken home a hefty $9,200 check. Being that the 2016 edition was the 10th running of the event, RH Rebel Storage of Jamestown pitched in to make the winner’s payout the largest in WISSOTA’s history: $10,092.
